The Saginaw 4-speed is easily identified because it has all 3 shift levers on the side cover. The front input shaft may have grooves cut around it’s diameter. These grooves indicate the ratios of the gears inside. We've got GM Saginaw transmission parts that fit both 3- and 4-speed manual shifters such as this bearing kit #BK115WS for 1966-1985 model years and includes the main roller bearings, synchro rings, seals, gaskets, snap rings, needle bearings and thrust washers. I bought a used Saginaw 4 speed last night. I am trying to identify this so I can get a shifter installation kit for my 64 Chevy II Nova. The following numbers are on it. Drivers side cast looks like 6261886. The pad has R3K31 stamped. To the front it looks like 5/16/72.
